Meimi has apparently decided to make herself my awesome layout fairy. Behold my twenty-first birthday present: A layout of pants!Logan, from Gilmore Girls (and, you know, that girl who's always hanging around him, what's her name . . .).

Not dead, just buried under paper

"Some days I worry I'm secretly the messenger of the Blind Idiot God, here simply to enact the will of some evil beyond the stars that wants me to spread madness and nightmares throughout the land." - Fox Maharassa, Friendly Hostility.

A couple days ago some scans from Spider-Man/Human Torch were posted, and 'lo, I laughed. A lot. Because it's quite funny. And there were Hostess Fruit Pies.

It's the little things when you're being eaten alive by papers. Except not so much anymore, because I made the page count on the last one an hour ago. I print it out before I go to bed so I can try and edit it into something readable tomorrow during class, but I don't have much hope. The topic was just -too- huge in the end. I seriously underestimated how much there'd be to say on even the little things, so the essay is kinda . . . wonked.

But, still, there's something to hand in, and I got it written before the Arrogant Worms concert (which is tomorrow, yayyayyayyayyay!), so I'm still pretty glad.

I've been rereading Shards of Honor and I love Bujold, and I love Aral and Cordelia and Simon and Bothari and everything . . . but the first couple chapters really just don't drag me in. I'm not sure where it starts really working, but I think it may not be until they're off what will be Sergyar, and possibly not until they've been separated. Maybe not even until Cordelia's back on Beta Colony.

Which . . . is quite near the end of the book.

. . . I still enjoy the book, I'm just glad my introduction to the series was The Warrior's Apprentice.

Woo, tangent,
