Is by Meimi, that wonderful Goddess who brings joy and happiness to the hearts of Ingrids.
This time, Meimi brought joy by doing a layout of Isumi Shinichirou and Waya Yoshitaka, of Hikaru no Go. It is full of wub.

Actually, maybe the money issue should be avoided entirely - I'm really not photogenic

"There were coins -- coins with my face on them." - Collin Sri'vastra, Friendly Hostility.

I'm not sure if I want my supreme world dictatorship to involve money with my face on it. I mean, I'm Canadian. I think of coins with faces on them, I think of the coins that seem to get a new stylized version of Queen Elizabeth II to mint things with every quarter-century or so. Seriously, I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't handling shiny straight-from-the-bank money all summer, but suddenly there's coins floating around and she looks positively ancient, which is weird, especially if you can find an older coin circa the fifties or something, where she's still young and pretty. I think I'd much rather have my face on a bill after my glorious death, ala John A. That way they can use the best picture of me and capture me in my prime, instead of documenting my rapid descent into old age on small bits of copper and nickel.

I like to think I have a vision.

It's officially winter here, albeit a drippy and slushy beginning to things, which is pretty usual. It's killing my feet, as you can now see light through one of my boots. I think I may be in need of new footware. Or, as Jaryn tells me, new feet. I think the new feet might be more practical. Maybe something larger than a size frickin'-5. When my parents are back in the province, I'll find out if it's okay for me to spend a couple hundred or however much a pair of nice Italian hiking boots will cost me.

I also know it's officially winter because, hey, there's stuff on tv again. Corner Gas, and I'm thinking I'll be following Scrubs as well, which is on right after, although on a different channel. There's Rick Mercer's Monday Report back, too, which warms my heart. I felt lost during the federal election this summer without having any of Mercer's dry commentary.

There's also Gilmore Girls - Meimi says Danny Strong will be on next week's episode Stateside, so perhaps I'll have to look into getting it from bittorrent. I mean . . . it's Danny Strong!

I've also been trying to watch Smallville, but . . . lord, it's bad. Really bad. I mean, I don't have words to express how bad I think it is. I turn it on Sundays when I start working on my recaps, and after fifteen minutes I've completely stopped paying even a modicum of attention to it. I'm going to persist, though, because the not-Bart Allen's going to be showing up (stateside) this week (by which I calculate the episode will be airing here in early November) and . . . I'm a total glutton for punishment.

. . . I should really start thinking about my Shakespeare paper. That's due next week.

I should probably find the sheet with essay topics on it, too. Since Professor BN seemed less than enthused with my initial, gut idea. In this case, I think he's right. Unfortunately, I can't really get myself enthused about any of the plays. We've read Titus Andronicus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet so far. While I thought the first was a laugh for entirely the wrong reasons, and I -am- fond of the second, there's only a few things I really like about the third (they're called Mercutio). And I can't think of a single bizarre idea that BN would like involving them, alas.

Maybe when we do The Tempest next term. It's hands down my favourite. And not just beause of Michael Therriault, dammit.

All the crap that can be thought of to blog,
Almighty Ingrid, Signing Off
