This should come as no surprise.
I do, however, have a Mother's Day Gift for my mum. Shame I probably won't see her until the end of the month, or June or something like that.
It was my dad's fiftieth birthday on Wednesday. I don't have a present for him, but I called to wish him happy birthday (like he didn't do for me).
He was in a meeting.
Odds of going back to PA for at least a month are currently very high, due to continued joblessness. Maybe it won't be so bad. My pseudo-life online has been just as quiet and lonely lately as my real-life.
I have a WinAmp skin up right now of Jowy, made from some of the card-artwork.
He looks like a pansy-ass girl.

Still nothing on the job front, but I've been given the distinct impression that my mother wants me to stay in Saskatoon as much as I want to stay here. It's good to know we aren't working at cross-purposes.
In other news, I am indeed in love, with the wonderous, wonderous Shadow Hearts. I just popped it in Hugo on the weekend as a bit of a distraction, and am utterly enamoured. Sure, the graphics aren't as shiny as FFX, but the main character isn't Tidus, so I think it's a fair tradeoff. Any game where the main character is admittedly off his rocker from the beginning is good by me. Sanity points being lost the longer you're in a battle? Awesome, man, awesome. Hell, I'm even starting to like the Judgement Ring, makes battles a bit more interesting. Main female character who hits enemies with a large book? Oh, baby, that's the stuff. Village of cannibals? Take me now.
The village of cannibals was actually how Matt sold me on the game.
. . . I don't have issues.
It's just a bit of a distraction for the moment, so I don't go completely insane playing the subquest game in FFX - how do I get my ultimate weapons? do I -have- everything I need to get my ultimate weapons? do I really care about my ultimate weapons? where are the bonus aeons? how the hell do I find the other aeons? did I forget to do something in the first hour of the game that guarantees I will never get the best aeons?
And Disgaea? I actually did the plot progressing battles yesterday, so now I'm on chapter seven, and all I have to say is Laharl? At the end of chapter six? There should be laws against that kind of evil cute, man.
Now, as the water will shortly be cut off for the duration of the day, I'm going to go pay my last visit to running water for a while.
