This time, Meimi brought joy by doing a layout of Isumi Shinichirou and Waya Yoshitaka, of Hikaru no Go. It is full of wub.

"I was worried you'd forgotten you were a member of the 'easily hurt with office supplies' caste."

I should really be in bed right now. I'm quite tired, and have had no caffeine at all today, but I can't stop listening to my WinAmp playlist . . .

I made it to all my classes today, though, and I got my copy of Egil's Saga (twenty dollars, make the hurting stop). We're having a quiz on "The Battle of Brunanburh" in class on Monday. I quake in terror.

The Olders are out playing D&D tonight. I have discovered that I suck at D&D, and doodle chickens and Ray on the pieces of paper I'm supposed to record information on, and therefore declined the probably-not-sincere invitation to go.

I spent most of the night gaming solo (Matt didn't call, which is cool, he and the Fishy are busy folks, y0, and it doesn't due to infringe on their hospitality). Final Fantasy IX is going to be my bitch. I have the golden giant chicken chocobo and have gotten my grubby hands on all-but-one of the treasures. Even the Dead Pepper ones, yes. I spent more time wandering around that little spot of land outside Giazmaluke's Grotto that's full of great dragons and levelling people up and maxing out abilities. Zidane is level 61, you will bow before his most royal monkey-ness. Now, dammit.

I don't know when I'll continue with the actual advancing of the plot - Freya, Amarant, Eiko, and Quina are all at kind of shitty levels, and, being the obsessive soul that I am, I want to bring them up some, especially since, yanno, you have to -use- them later on.

I have thank-you cards written out for the aunts who sent me stuff at Christmas, which I'll send off later, and I'm going to work on filling out the lease-renewal form tomorrow . . . Update my resume too, I guess, although I realized I don't have some of the info I -need-. I'm so disorganized. I'll e-mail Mum on Monday and ask for Chris and Marie's e-mail addresses so I can ask for numbers and references and things.

What I'd really like is for my -parents- to come by this weekend and bring me Disgaea. Please. The waiting has become -painful-.

Isolated and full of . . . self-loathing?

"I think you ought to know, I'm feeling very depressed."

On days like this I feel more like Marvin that can possibly be healthy. I don't really know what to do about it until drink tea and mope quietly until the feeling goes away.

Somedays, I really miss her. She always knew what to say to cheer me up, and always seemed to have time for me. No one else does, or cares. I hate bothering people . . .

I'd like to just sleep through the rest of January, please.

I've been listening to some Greenwood MP3s I downloaded, and they're fun and on crack, but they aren't managing to keep my spirits up. It's not much fun to be interested in something no one else you know's into, anyway.

I think I'm just going to finish my tea and go to bed. I hope my pajamas are dry . . .

The night gets worse and worse,

"Show me something that beats a natural twenty, and I'll show you hateful -lies-!"

I keep forgetting to announce here that Mythical Detective Loki Screencap Recaps got updated - we're up to episode fourteen, now.

I had a weird dream the other night, in which there was a plot to kill me with my bed. It was going to try and eat me (I blame Edward Gorey), but I could tell, and so I moved my bed out into the hallway. But the people who were trying to kill me came by and complained, so I went to find someone to help me move it back in, but it broke because we really kind of sucked moving it back into my room. And so the plan for my murder was foiled.

After foiling the evil murder plan I went downstairs with Dice and found an anonymous package on the banister. The package, when opened, contained a packet of shiny Loki cards, and two Loki wallscrolls that looked kind of like calendars. One of them had pictures of pretty much every bloody character in the series, including one of Kou-chan smoking a cigarette.

Meia assured me, when I woke up, that Kou-chan never smokes in the series.

After that, Dice and I went into an alley for coffee. The coffee was made and served by the main characters of Gohou Drug, and was made from bugs. Dice thought this was the greatest thing ever.

I don't have dreams often, but when I do, they're on crack, man.

Bugs are protein, maybe bug coffee is part of the Atkins diet,

"I've got a great plan. I have dubbed it Plan Awesome."

So, one of the current big things being discussed by many are the new opening and ending sequences for Full Metal Alchemist, which I've watched, over and over again, in an attempt to aclimatize myself to them, and accept that they aren't "Melissa" and "Kesenai Tsumi".

I don't think I'll ever accept the new ending (what's it called, anyway - it's pretty but . . . it's not Kesenai Tsumi). Kesenai Tsumi was so perfect. Perfect lyrics, perfect sound, perfect rhythm and beat, perfect animation (I adore the brief scene with Ed and Al practising their fighting, and I just adore the way that style looks). Just . . . so perfect for the series. The new one just doesn't compare.

L'arc's "READY STEADY GO" has, after multiple viewings, settled more with me, although I don't think I like L'arc-en-ciel's music as much as porno graffitti's. Some of the images used are, um, simply weird, but some are pretty. The song has an awesome rhythm, although the Engrish used is utterly incomprehensible. And, dude, the new opening has Hawkeye shooting her gun, and Roy blowing shit up, and -Hughes-. Hughes! Hughes is the best thing since sliced bread and then some. I think Hughes may have won me over.

Of course, to go with the new op/ed, the series seems to be taking a distinctly angsty turn. We probably won't have any crack series for some time. Sigh.
