Into exile I go . . .

"Star hit with Viggo's wooden leg . . ."

Viggo Mortensen is a CG creation.

So, Dad should be here to take me to hell Prince Albert in about half-an-hour. He's running late. Joy. Even more time before I can have a bloody meal.

Mostly just sitting here being bored - I'm always restless when I wait for stuff like this. Can't really focus on anything. People talked about getting together this afternoon since I won't be at the Christmas party, but you know stuff like that never pans out, ever.

Whatever, I don't care.

I have an apple.

I should be back from my exile sometime in early January - before the fifth, since that's when classes start. Maybe the third, or the fourth. Hard to say. Almost certainly won't be back until after Hogmeny, unless my parents get -really- sick of me.

Hour and a half to go,
Happy holidays everyone,

"It seems to me that a night creature would probably be weakened during the day."
"I don't follow."

. . . I think my dad accidentally packed (stole) my comb yesterday when he was packing his overnight bag. I am very miffed.

I finger-combed my hair and braided it anyway, because not braiding my hair is a strange and alien concept. It looks okay, I guess. I don't know, I usually look a mess anyway.

On the bright side, away from people stealing my comb, Geoff brought me my Christmas present yesterday (as I am a sucky person and going home this afternoon, and so won't be here for the Christmas party). Giant mug and cider mix! Mmmgood. Very warm. Both will remain here while I'm in hell Prince Albert, but I had some of the cider last night while I was doing my whole not-studying thing, and it was really good. I, in turn, gave Geoff a crack cd (some clips from the Prince of Tennis musical, the first two episodes of Loki, and some random mp3s - including "Young Soul Rebel", y0). I am the crack-dealing santa, y0.

I've been listening to the Kiss of Prince songs, most of them are pretty unimpressive (not bad, persay, just not memorable - but is anything as memorable as the drunken singing of Eiji, Momo-chan, Taka-san, Inui, and Kaidoh?). I quite like "Mouichido Omoidasou Ano Yuuki o", there's just something very pleasing about it. Unfortunately, I haven't a bloody clue who the character singing it -is-. Minami Kentarou? Is he a Yamabuki or Rokkaku player?

Anyway, I should go get ready for the last exam. A pox upon needing clothing.

Down to hours,
The sky outside is as black as my heart,

Lies-to-Everyone

"It's turtles all the way down."

I finally started reading The Science of the Discworld yesterday. I got it for Hogmenay when I was in grade ten, I believe, and didn't start reading it until near the end of the year, by which point I had to stop in favour of writing and passing my chemistry 20 final, and never picked it up again. I'm glad a did. I miss science-stuff. I may do crap in the classes, but it's still fascinating to read about.

Dad came by yesterday, but he didn't get here until three or so, so no Dim Sum for me. I pout. He was late because he was having coffee with the Jim. We went present shopping, though. I got cards for Guthrie and Dice, another thing for Dice, and something for Mum. Dad got stuff for Mum, Guthrie, and the Mayor. There was also supper, and then we went to Future Shop, where I sulked because they didn't have Disgaea (unsurprising, but still - bastards!), and resisted the urge to do unmentionable things with Neverwinter Nights: Gold, and the Icewind Dale set (the first two games plust he expansion pack for the first). They didn't have Morrowind, though. I don't even know if Morrowind would run on Waya, though. But it's still weird that games stay on the shelves for such a brief period of time.

They also had some new shoot-'em-up that they were selling with a DVD of "The Great Escape". In the game, you apparently play Steve McQueen, and I marvelled - how long before we see the world of Connie Willis' Remake emerge?

Made Dad sleep on the couch and read in my room until I fell asleep - woke up, of my own volition, too, at six am. Very strange. Should have no problems sleeping tonight, anyway.

Only a day left,
It's time all the way back,

I need a hiding spot . . .

"Is it a magical Christmas tumour?"

There was no Nip/Tuck tonight. Aaaaaaagh!

Dad should be coming down on Tuesday to get Christmas shopping done, and possibly staying the night. Ideally, this means I should be able to get dim sum for lunch -and- something tasty for supper, too. Probably just Great Buffet of China, though. Which is fine. They have coconut buns. Mmmmm. Coconut buns.

This means I'll have to find someplace to hide the presents I've bought for him. I'm sure the abyss that is my bedroom will yield something.

. . . Noel pressured me into applying to Match Point. Curse her flattering ways! We'll see if anything comes of it, I guess. Hn.

Is it really only four days?

"I hear he's gay gay gay and in love with his little brother. "

MatchPoint Sengoku is the most wonderful thing ever. End of story.

Talked with Matt last night (he was dead from his exam, so no Kingdom Hearts mockage - major disappointment), and he told me I should ask for Final Fantasy XI for the PS2. I told him MMORPGs were a soul sucking evil, I have a massive backlog, and besides, I want Disgaea. Now.

So, instead of playing games (well, I did play some FFT:A - I have a blue mage! And a ninja! They're so cute! <3), I drew a page of hands and watched "It's a Wonderful Life", although it's not the same watching it alone, really. The end always makes me tear up, though. I'm such a sentamentalist.

Speaking of which, people who doubt the good spirit of humanity (like, uh, me) should go check out what the Penny Arcade boys are doing, if somehow you've been living under a rock and haven't heard. It's really wonderful.

I bought myself some stuff when I went grocery shopping the other day. I went to 8th Street Comics in hopes of finding Gravitation volume 2. No luck - out of stock. I wept, particularly because they had volume 3 in. I picked up volume 2 of FLCL instead, and GTO because I have vague memories of hearing good stuff about it in Dom's rant at Megatokyo, once upon a time (unless I hallucinated it). Quite good. I'll pick up volume 2 the next time I'm there.

I've gotten all of Dad's Christmas present, part of Mum's, and Guthrie's is just lacking a card. I have books for Matt and Shelly, Geoff, and Dice, and I have to pick the clips I want to put on Geoff's cd. Hn. Other people will get cookies, if I remember. Maybe not, though, because I'm not sure if I'll see anyone before I go back to Prince Albert or not.

Four to five days,
Waiting to see how things turn out,
