Is by Meimi, that wonderful Goddess who brings joy and happiness to the hearts of Ingrids.
This time, Meimi brought joy by doing a layout of Isumi Shinichirou and Waya Yoshitaka, of Hikaru no Go. It is full of wub.

Sleep is a balm to all wounds (well, except for the ones I still have from the blasted lumber yard). Would have helped if I'd gotten -more- of it, but it was a restless night. Too hot. I kept waking up. Blurgh.

More importantly, though, she's not mad at me. It's good to have friends who can accept the fact that you can be an unpleasant idiot about a lot of things.

Now, I have to go and get dressed so we can go furniture hunting, which we were supposed to do two hours ago. Oops. ^_^

So, it's Friday night, and I just want to make it clear that I hate everyone. I hate my parents, I hate the people at church, I hate Guthrie, and I hate everyone I know, and everyone I don't know.

I particularly hate the way people can make me feel like a worthless piece of shit, without doing anything.

I should be used to it by now, but I'm not. In fact, it hurts more and more every time it happens.

I think I'd have been better off if I'd just avoided close human contact entirely. Then I wouldn't know how much it hurts, because I wouldn't know what I'm missing.

I just need to cry for a while, and sleep, and maybe, if I'm lucky enough to be forgiven for my outbursts of stupid blind incoherent rage, I'll have forgotten all this by tomorrow night.

Dear universe: please stop fucking with me.

Huh. Apparently nepotism works better than I thought.

May have a job. Let's just wait, though. We might end up jinxing it.

Also - why has no one given me an amazonian blow gun with poison darts? I'm disappointed in all of you.

Meril fixed my freaky image problem. Go team Meril. Yeah!

Got three resumes out today, more tomorrow, maybe. Probably not, though. I'm tired, and have other things to do. Like write, and watch anime, and read "The Flyting of Loki". 'cause . . . Loki. <3

And, although I think by now it shouldn't need to be said, people should go read Boy Meets Boy. Because someday, I'll be as cruel and heartless as Collin. Particularly the latest adventure of Double Oh Sexy. Just keep going until you reach the bit about the goggles, in the bar. Every superhero/magical girl comic/manga/anime -ever-, baby.

. . . I'll just go to bed now. In the morning, I am so smiting Durlag's Tower. Or, er, starting to, anyway.

Am currently having a very strange problem with Internet Explorer. Whenever I try to save a .jpg image file, it persistantly claims that the file is, without fail, untitled.bmp. I have no idea why it does this. It doesn't do this for .gif files. This happened to anyone before? Am really getting irritated with it.

Sent off another resume this morning, after swearing at the fax machine for half an hour. I'm still not sure if it actually went through, or if all of it went through. It made beeping noises and both pages came out, though, so I'll assume yes.

Going to do the teeth brushing and take my meds and go drop the damn things off at some other places of crap.

I really don't like this. It's absolutely futile.

My stomach's started bothering me again, I think. I don't want to go back to the doctor, though. The stuff they put me on last time gave me horrible headaches.

In cheerful news, watched a couple episodes of Hikaru no Go over breakfast, and while doing my hair. Ochi's still a prick, Isumi's horrible shirt of eye-blinding death continues to make appearances, Hikaru's a cute little twat, and Waya is the almighty, ever-wonderful Waya.

Watched the end of the match between Hikaru and the Korean brat - very long, I was surprised. It started at the end of the episode before, and went almost fourteen minutes into the one after. That seems really long for a single match - and there wasn't stuff in between, either.

Next episode is Hikaru's match against Isumi - I get the feeling it's going to take up all of that episode and some of the next one, too. Bring on the Isumi-angst, Konami.

Meimi, if you do not scan Andrew and Buffy's shoes, I will be a sad, sad person.

That being said, I can now die happy with the knowledge that I will leave behind me something of value, a great contribution to the english language.

Broomsluts.

Also, someday, I'm finding a way to use "Ambiguously Gay Knights" and "mercenating" in a story or something. Because dude, it has to be done.

I knew there was a reason I thought AnimeJunkies sucked major wang. And now I know.

I'm also too lazy to find the link to the article in question. But trust me when I say, if you download fansubs, stop downloading AnimeJunkies subs. They're unethical, rude, irrational, and give anime fans in general, and fansubbers in particular, a bad name.

~goes back to staring morosely at the not nearly fast enough Loki download~

I only have a few things to say.

1) You're welcome, Meimi, and thank you for getting my Danny Strong wub. And you know you have to scan those post-Buffy comis things, right?

2) SUCK ON THAT WEREWOLF BITCHES.

3) I have Nash as my wallpaper, and he looks like a dork. ~dies happily~ Thanks, Meril.

As I wasn't blogging when this came up (and now blogger's down as I write this), I forgot to mention how very disappointed I was in Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade. I didn't realize I had a reason to be disappointed in their E3 writeup until Dom of Megatokyo did -his- writeup of the event and mentioned, of all things, a new Sam and Max game from Lucasarts. This is probably some of the best gaming related news I've heard in ages (except for last night, when Stephen told me about Baldur's Gate III - mixed feelings on that, more later). Sam and Max Hit the Road was one of those wonderful, wacky adventure games that Lucasarts made back in the days when everything they put out -didn't- suck wang. Aside from the Monkey Island series, and the wonderful simulation Afterlife (yes, I played the Rogue Squadron games, no, I never completed either of them, bugger off), Sam and Max Hit the Road was probably one of the greatest games Lucasarts put out. Dark, sickly funny, and just plain fun, Sam and Max not only made you laugh, but taught you useful words, like lagomorph. It just defies description, and Max is my personal hero. Everyone should play it, and if you haven't, shame, shame, and shame.

Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to Lucasarts returning to the series, and if they muck it up, they will suffer.

And now I'm reminded that I need to find a copy of the fourth Monkey Island game. I never did get to play it, but it looked divine.

As for the news of Baldur's Gate III . . . It's not out until 2004. Supposedly. You have to remember, that this is Bioware, and they can take their time on things. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed back the release date a year. Or two. It could be Neverwinter Nights all over again (and that's still not cheap enough for me to buy). But, whenever it comes out, it'll probably take it a year or two to become cheap enough for me to be able to afford it. I'm willing to buy games between twenty and thirty dollars, if I know they'll be good. It took two or three years for Baldur's Gate II to fall into my price range. Besides that, who knows where I'll be by that time, and if I'll even have the time to play the complex, time-consuming, addictive game.

And there's, you know, the fact that I have yet to finish Baldur's Gate (in my defense, I have the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack installed, and am stuck on Werewolf Island) and Stephen (the bugger) has. And yes, I'm a geek, and I want to import my thief into Baldur's Gate II. Shut up.

I'm also wondering how they'll improve of Baldur's Gate II. From the look of it, and according to all reports, it's a massive game that takes, like, a year and a half to play thoroughly (or a couple days, if you're Largo, and don't need to come up for air), much bigger than the first game. With things like this, if you're going to make a sequel, you have to be able to improve of the last game. So, I'm wondering what they'll mess with this time around . . .

They should make more Planescape games, anyway. Planescape rocks the socks off any other game ever made.

I'm such a geek.
