Is by Meimi, that wonderful Goddess who brings joy and happiness to the hearts of Ingrids.
This time, Meimi brought joy by doing a layout of Isumi Shinichirou and Waya Yoshitaka, of Hikaru no Go. It is full of wub.

Boring education-related matters

"To be fair, a treasure map brings treasure. The bus schedule only brings buses and panic." - Collin Sri'vastra, Friendly Hostility.

I'm looking over the courses for next year, trying to figure out what I want to take. I think I'm going to have to go talk to the English department advisor again, because I don't really want to take the advanced French class to fulfill the other half of my humanities requirements, and I'm wondering if a history class would be feasible instead. I wanted to take the East Asia History class, but that's not being offered. Maybe Canadian history?

The English I'm taking has already been decided, pretty much, as long as I can get into the classes. Reading English: Critical Approaches, Shakespeare, and Gothic Narrative. I'm hoping I can get into Professor Nelson's Shakespeare class and not the other guy, 'cause I like Professor Nelson and I think he's a good lecturer, even if I didn't do so well in 17th Century Literature.

There's philosophy classes, Critical Thinking and hopefully Ethical Issues in Business and Professions, which I think would be useful. Maybe Law and Morality if I can't get into that, but I think Business and Professions would be more useful, although the Law and Morality one obviously has some importance for, you know, someone who wants to apply to law school, but there's only one class being offered and it has a twenty person limit, while Business and Professions has a fifty person limit.

Of course, with my luck, I won't get into anything and this year will be a bust.

All the englishes and and two philosophies would only bring me to 21 credit units, though, which means I need at least one more class. Possibly the history, but I also need a social science. I was thinking of political studies, although I think psychology would be more standard for a pre-law student. Or, of course, sociology, which would make even more sense considering . . .

Maybe I'll go see the person I need to see tomorrow . . . I don't think I need an appointment.
